The Course
Can members not take trollies/buggies between bunkers and greens, the amount of traffic we have really does damage the area that close to the green.

Congrats to Billy Graham who had a magnificent Ace at the 5th hole this week.

Middlesex Handicap Championship
This year the event is being played here at West Middx; it is 18 holes on 17th September.
Entrants must be aged 18 or over on the day of the Championship and must hold a handicap of 9.5 or higher on the date their entry for the Championship is submitted. Players with handicaps lower than the limit may not enter. Entry forms are in office or via the Middx County website.

Captain & Pro Playoff Update
Due to the number of members still waiting to play their match, the Captain has organised two dates 19 August and 15 September where any pairing can play. The Capt. & Pro will play and mark a card, every other team will also mark a card and that will be compared afterwards to the Captains score.
More details will follow, but please enter your name for the respective date on the notice board outside changing rooms.
On the evening of 15 September (after the second roll up date) there will be a Capt. & Pro Auction in advance of the main event on 16 September.
The dynamic duo has played two matches this week with a 50% return. They beat Steve McGovern and Ben Durham but lost to a very good pairing of Steve Stuart and Steve Fitzgerald.

Society London Captains
We have a very large society playing 27 holes here next Friday, this means the course will be closed until approx. 17.00 on the day.
If any member can spare a ride on buggy for the day it would be much appreciated, we are supplying them with 3 buggies but really need a couple more. Please contact the office if you happy for us to use your buggy.

Trip to Oakhampton
David Thompson is arranging a trip to Ashbury Manor on 04/06/2018 for 4 nights, its £300 which includes 5 rounds of golf and loads of food, if you are interested please contact David directly on dthompson1@talktalk.net

Greens Week
This year Jamie and his team will be Hollow Tining the Greens and Tees on week commencing 31 July, if any member could free up half a day in the early part of that week please let Alan Burgen or Richard know. Your help would be much appreciated and is much needed.

‘The hollow tining of greens, tees and even fairways are an essential part of most golf course maintenance programmes. It’s a recognised and proven technique carried out every year at most UK golf clubs’.
