Congratulations
Abbey Bux for winning the Coronation Bowl with an excellent nett 68, he qualifies to represent West Middx in the Middlesex Coronation Bowl to be played at Ealing Golf Club on 12th July, alongside Mark Grabham and Micky Burke.

Happy Birthday to; Joe Lyons Snr, Peter Reynolds, John Brandon & Zain Bux.

Seniors
Commiserations to the M4 seniors who lost in the final of this event ably lead by Steve Humphries. They lost to West Berks by 2.5 to 1.5.
Upcoming Events
Wilford Rose Bowl is on Easter Monday 17th April it is a 4BBB stableford, no time sheet.
St Georges Day competition is on April 22nd, the online sheet is now live and can be accessed with members’ login, through the Pro Shop or the office.
Greystoke, Club Foursomes & Scratch match play events sign-up sheets are in the Pro Shop, closing date for these events is 16th April, don’t miss out.
Hal Ludlow first round has to be played by 16th, no extensions please ensure you get your match played.

Richard will be around on Saturday afternoon if anyone wishes to settle their account. Please be aware accounts not settled by April 1st are counted as overdue and any Member not settling their account by May 1st will have their membership suspended and will not be able to play the course (Rule 7a in diary).
General
Last weekend’s Coronation Bowl was a three-ball medal competition, as stated on notice board, BRS and club diary, some members decided to play in four balls and enter the competition, can we please ensure the club notices are adhered to and play in three balls especially for Board competitions. If there are four people in a group two two balls are preferable.

The fence on the right of the first fairway, near the Pavilion, has been removed the boundary of the course is now the inside (to the fairway) of the first gravel pathway so anything on or over the gravel path is Out of Bounds.

Open Events
CW Roe; our prestigious 36-hole scratch competition is this year on May 20th it is open to all golfers of 9.4 and below, please support this event. Entry forms are via club website or pro shop and office.
Sudbury and Wyke Green are holding similar events on 6th & 27th May respectively these are all scratch/handicap events, again 9.4 handicap entry requirement. Entry forms on respective club website or from the office.

BMW PGA Championship
The BMW at Wentworth this year is from May 25-28, West Middlesex have teamed up with the European Tour to purchase tickets. Any tickets you buy through the link below donates £10 into the Junior Fund here at West Middx.

THE C.W. ROE CHALLENGE TROPHY

36 Hole Scratch Medal Play
The CW Roe will be a qualifying scratch event for the MCGU Order of Merit

Open to all Amateur Golfers with a handicap of 8 or less
Entry Fee £45.00 (£35 before 20th April) to include Tea/Coffee on arrival, Lunch and One Pint (or similar) in Evening - (Kitchen will be open in Evening)

CONDITIONS

Entries will be limited to 54. If over-subscribed a ballot of the higher handicaps will be made;
Optional sweep on the day;
Entries close on Friday 19th May 2017;
Competitors may have a practice round from 15th May 2017 by prior arrangement through the Secretary’s Office;
Competitors will be granted temporary membership;
In the event of a tie, play-off rules will apply;
ENTRY FEES will not be refunded once the draw has taken place;
THE CW ROE COMMITTEE’S DECISION IS FINAL.

PRIZES
Scratch Prizes will be awarded up to 3rd place for 36 Holes – 1st Prize is £500.00*
In addition, there will be Morning & Afternoon Scratch and Handicap Prizes
Handicap Prize will be awarded to the winner for 36 Holes
